Be Inspirational is a nonprofit organization, located in southern California, we provide essential assistance to underserved communities throughout the U.S. Our mission is to ease burdens and improve lives by focusing on critical needs of disable children and adults with special needs by providing food, clothing, shelter, and transportation. Our ultimate goal is to reach and provide support to communities in any city throughout the nation where our help can be the greatest throughout the world.
2025 Colin Matthew $50,000 Hand-Up Awards and Gala
Join us for the Annual 2025 Colin Matthew $50,000 Hand-Up Awards and Gala, an evening dedicated to celebrating and supporting underserved adults and children with special needs. This year’s honorees and guests include Marla Gibbs, Keith David, Garret Morris, Richard Lawson, Ernest Harding Jr. and Host Danoon Green. With special performance by the musical guest, Club Nouveau.
Last year’s gala was truly memorable for the honorees, many dignitaries, city mayors, and celebrities attended the sold out event. The Award show and Gala, brought awareness to the city of Los Angeles. Donations allowed the foundation to acquire hospital beds, wheelchairs, and new clothing for patients across California.
The founders, Dr. Vinson Eugene Allen and Dr. Connie Yu Allen, have worked tirelessly throughout the years to raise and collect funds to support those in need, as donations are vital for helping families in crisis. With recent cuts to Medicaid funding, it is more important than ever for us to come together to assist our neighbors in need.
Interested in showcasing your brand? We offer tables for up to 10 guests. This year’s contributions will help organize a special day at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, for the children and individuals in our program.

Captain Cedric Cleveland
Fire Captain Cedric Cleveland served the residents of California for 35 years, his dedication to protecting citizens was evident not only in his role as a firefighter, but also as a paramedic. Before retirement, Captain Cleveland focused on mentoring and recruitment initiatives throughout Los Angeles.
Armani Crews
A six-year-old named Armani Crews chose to feed the homeless back in 2017 instead of having a birthday party. Instead of a traditional celebration, she wanted to serve the same food that would be at her party to people experiencing homelessness in her community. Armani Crews a young lady with a big heart.
Colin Matthew Allen
Colin Matthew is unlike most kids his age, in his public life, Colin is seen handing out essentials to the homeless or passing out food and clothing during each holiday. The future leader takes pride in serving the community with his parents, Dr. Eugene Allen and Dr. Connie Yu Allen, owners of Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care.
